Rymax Marketing Services Receives Incentive Magazine Motivation Masters Award
Incentive Magazine, which recognizes the most effective and creative incentive and engagement programs of the year with its Motivation Masters Awards, named Rymax Marketing Services' work with Patterson Dental—a St. Paul, Minnesota-based supplier of dental equipment, software, technology and services—as its Master Motivator in the sales incentive category.
Rymax Marketing Services, Pine Brook, N.J., helped to reshape Patterson Dental's underperforming sales incentive program. I shifted from a gift card program to a points system that allowed its 1,500 sales representatives to chose from more than 4,000 brand-name merchandise. With improvements that also included better customer service, an online platform and higher-quality tracking, 72 percent of its salespeople enrolled, awards redemption rates nearly doubled and sales increased, resulting in a bottom-line revenue increase of 30 percent.
The program took place between July 2011 and July 2012 and competed against similar programs from companies, such as Anheuser-Busch, Ricoh and Volvo, for this year's award.
