Cintas Diverts 17 Million Plastic Bottles from Landfills in 2012

In honor of World Environment Day, Cintas Corporation announced that it diverted more than 17 million 16.9 oz. plastic bottles from landfills in 2012 through the production of its EcoGeneration line. This represents a 13 percent increase over the company's 2011 totals.

Coca-Cola Creates Animated Film Using Fans' T-Shirts [Video]

A new animated movie from Coca-Cola aims to "put a smile" on people's faces around the world by sending them a gift and asking them to get involved.

The "Wearable Smile" concept was developed by Ogilvy and created by Psyop, who were responsible for animating the film - which features a few interesting characters.

Each frame of this movie was then put on a t-shirt and sent to fans around the world. Once each of them received the t-shirt, they had to take a picture of themselves wearing it, which was submitted back to Coke.

Hundreds Sickened in Bangladesh Garment Factory

Several hundred garment workers were sickened at their factory outside Bangladesh's capital on Sunday, apparently after drinking water there.

Police official Mohammad Jahid said many of the workers were treated at various hospitals after the incident at East West Factory in Gazipur district.

Jahid said most of the workers suffered vomiting and stomach problems. None was life-threatening.

He said up to 4,000 workers are employed in the factory.

Earlier this month, contaminated drinking water sickened 450 workers at Starlight Sweater Factory in the same area. Authorities cleaned the reservoir and reopened the factory a day later.

Scott Zabelski Found T-shirts Were a Perfect Fit for Hurricane Sandy Relief

News reports showed audiences around the United States and the world how hurricane Sandy had caused unprecedented devastation along New Jersey's coastline. But when New Jersey native Scott Zabelski saw it for his own eyes, the destruction became more real, and more personal.

He "looked around and saw things I would never have expected to see," he says. "That's when it was the most heartbreaking and devastating."

Mr. Zabelski is a resident of Toms River, N.J., just a short drive from a portion of the coast that received significant damage in the October 2012 hurricane.

Jay-Z Sued by Wholesaler Over $450,000 Bill

iSource NYC has filed a lawsuit in Manhattan Supreme Court against Rocawear, the apparel brand co-created by Jay-Z, over $450,000 allegedly owed to the wholesaler for "specially ordered goods ... [with] the 'Rocawear' brand name imprinted on [them]."
