Can You Still Purchase QuickBooks Premier?

Question: Can I still purchase QB Premier?

Answer: I recently received a copy of The Woodard Report, which addresses this very question. Intuit has announced that, as of July 31, 2024, no new subscriptions for QB Pro Plus or Premier Plus will be sold.

This will not impact current subscribers of QB Pro Plus and Premier Plus. The current subscribers will be able to continue renewing their subscriptions.

It is not stated, but I suspect this means that distributors using older, non-subscription versions of Pro and Premier may not be able to purchase the subscription version after July 31, 2024 which will cut off a previously viable option for going into a newer version.

After July 31, 2024, it is likely that the only QB option remaining to upgrade for those in older non-subscription versions of QB Pro and Premier will be QuickBooks Online (QBO). I don’t know this for sure, but it is something to keep an eye on if you fall into this category.
