Urge Butler University to Help End Sweatshop Labor
Is Cinderella really more of a evil step-sister? It seems that this years version of media darling in the annual NCAA Basketball Tournament, fifth ranked Butler University may not be as pure as some of the news coverage makes out. Check out this exerpt from an online petition sponsored by Change.org.
From Change.org:
But of all the teams in the men's college basketball Final Four this year, Butler is also the only school that has failed to sign an agreement with either the Fair Labor Association (FLA) or the Worker Rights Consortium (WRC). What does that mean? Well, in very real terms, it means that anybody wearing a Butler University jersey, shirt, hoodie or hat might just be wearing products that were made in sweatshops. And while everyone loves a Cinderella story, nobody likes a university in the business of making money off of slavery.
