Despite the Bruins Stanley Cup Parade in Boston and Father's Day weekend festivities, Charles River Apparel's new store, The Store @ Charles River Apparel, successfully opened its doors to customers for the first time with a grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 18. The buzz around Boston may have been the Bruins Victory Parade, but the Store @ Charles River Apparel drew in its own crowd at the Sharon, Massachusetts-based location, attracting local customers with great discounts, free giveaways and a meet-and-greet with the New England Patriots Cheerleaders.
"We are so pleased with the outward support we received this past weekend from our customers visiting the Store for the first time," said Barry Lipsett, president and owner of Charles River Apparel. "It was great to see so many local fans of Charles River Apparel come out for the opening and we look forward to the future success of our first retail store."
The 28-year-old company, well-known for their quality apparel, focused its store on sales of its men's, women's and kids' rain wear, wicking polos and sports shirts as well as activewear, all branded with the company's signature rowing insignia. The store also includes non-Charles River Apparel items including children's rain boots, sunglasses and official New England Patriots merchandise.
The store also includes a section aptly named "Barry's Bargain Basement" after president and owner Barry Lipsett. The section will feature closeout styles and "not quite perfect" items at very low discounted prices.
