The Quality Certification Alliance (QCA), the promotional product industry's only independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping companies provide safe products, has granted QCA accreditation to Sparks, Nevada-based Castelli North America.
To achieve QCA Accreditation, Castelli completed a rigorous self-assessment and submitted its headquarters and supply base to multiple third-party audits. The QCA Board then used a scorecard representing the performance of the company and its supply chain on the third-party audits as the foundation for granting accreditation.
Castelli, part of the Lediberg S.p.A. family—the world's largest producer of diaries at over 100 million a year—brings the number of QCA-accredited suppliers to 27. "Not only is this a huge accomplishment for our team, but we are now a stronger, better, safer industry participant. This certification recognizes our efforts to maintain above and beyond safety, quality, and social industry standards", said Castelli's Gabriela Vascan, compliance officer, and Curtis Grotting, general manager.
They added, "We made the decision to pursue the QCA certification when Fran Ford returned to Castelli. He was and he is the strongest advocate of this program and we would like to extend our thanks for his leadership. QCA certified who we are and what we are in North America. This truly adds to our company core while giving industry participants piece of mind. To our team in Italy, our team here in Nevada, and all the other parties involved along the line, a big 'thank you' for making this journey true!"
"We want to congratulate Castelli on achieving QCA Certification," said Jeffrey P. Jacobs, executive director of QCA. "We knew they took the necessary, proactive steps to provide safe and compliant product, but they have also seen additional benefit in the process by smoothing out business processes, eliminating inefficiencies, and opening up some new lines of internal communications. We know that Castelli takes customer relationships seriously, and this proves it—they are interested in doing the right thing for them."
