Prime Line's President and Product Development Team Return from Asia with Product Exclusives
Jeff Lederer, president of Bridgeport, Connecticut-based Prime Line, and other members of Prime Line's product development team returned from a week in Asia with many new items the company will introduce in the next year. These items include several exclusive bag designs, drinkware, office and desk items.
Prime's traveling party included Paula Shulman, v.p. of sales, along with members of the company's overseas and IPPAG (International Promotions, Premiums and Gifts) internet groups. They attended major trade fairs, met with factories, designers and other suppliers. "It's always good to meet face to face with people Prime has had relationships with for over 30 years," said Lederer. "That is what business is made of—friends that like to do business with each other."
"Our longstanding relationships with these factories is why they offer us exclusives. It's important to us because it gives us a leg up in various product categories," said Lederer. "On the flip side, we purchase huge amounts of inventory for new and existing items, which allows us to control costs and maintain quality. We're excited about our 2012 line and we could not have secured these incredible products without the relationships Prime has overseas," stated Lederer.
"Prime's relationship with IPPAG allows us to share factories and develop products together. Imagine 26 companies and 26 countries coming together to source new products and ideas simultaneously," he added.
Prime Line is a 5-star-rated supplier and a founding member of the Quality Certification Alliance (QCA). The company has been a leading industry supplier since 1980 and is headquartered in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
