Janelle Nevins, senior vice president of Summit Group and long-time industry veteran, passed away on Thursday, August 9. She was 62.
Nevins began working in the promotional products industry in 1978, and in that time earned many business awards and accolades, including: the Orville Smith Community Service Award in 1995; one of the 15 Most Outstanding Women in the Promotional Products Industry in 1996; one of the 30 Most Influential Women Business Leaders in Atlanta in 1998; and named ASI Person of the Year in 1999. She also served on the Atlanta UT Alumni Board, the PPAI board of directors, and was a founding member of The PeerNet Group.
Nevins is survived by her husband, Art Nevins; daughter, Whitney Nevins; son, Preston Nevins and his wife Dallas and two grandchildren, Cole and Sears Nevins, all of Atlanta. The family has asked that any donations be made to the charity Orbit Village or the National Alzheimer's Association.
