Due to the recent flooding in Nashville, Tennessee-based distributor Goldner Associates has been unable to use its headquarters office building since close of business on April 30. The company is reporting electricity has been restored to the area, but police will only allow very minimal access by business owners for fear of a nearby levee compromise and flooding to the area. All servers were moved off-site and Nashville employees are all working from home. The Goldner Associates Orlando office, Raleigh office and remote locations have all been pitching in and business remains functional with the exception of the inability to ship packages from its Nashville warehouse. The best way to reach Nashville employees is via e-mail.
According to president Andy Straus, “This has been an emotional and taxing week for the city of Nashville. First and foremost, we are thankful that all our employees and their families are safe. We have one employee whose family has a complete loss of her home due to water and mud damage. We were very lucky that–to the best of our knowledge–our Nashville office did not suffer any substantial damage. Our thoughts go out to many of our customers and friends who were not so fortunate.”
There has been no official word from the Nashville authorities, but Goldner Associates is hopeful to be allowed full access to their Nashville office by Monday, May 10.
