Charles River Apparel, Sharon, Mass., is saluting the troops this Fourth of July weekend with a free giveaway at the company's store on Saturday, July 2. The company, which just opened the doors to its first-ever retail store at their headquarters on Route 1 in Sharon, Mass., will give away 200 free polos decorated with the American flag to military members current or retired with a valid military ID.
"We think it's important to show our gratitude to those serving in our military," said Barry Lipsett, president and owner of Charles River Apparel. "This is just a small token of our appreciation for all they have given up for our freedom."
Charles River Apparel has been a long-time supporter of the Homeless Veterans Association of Massachusetts, donating thousands of clothing items to them through the Middlesex County Sheriff's office.
"Personally, this is an important gesture for our company," said Vanessa Keefe, director of marketing. "My family members served in the military as have many Charles River Apparel employees and family members. This is a great way to say thank you to them and remind us of their service and dedication during this holiday weekend."
The giveaway is set for this Saturday, June 2, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Store @ Charles River Apparel, located at 1205 Providence Highway, Sharon, MA 02067. For more information on the company store including hours of operation and directions, please visit the store's website.
