Arthur Blank & Co. Introduces the Recycled AB HybridCard
Boston-based Arthur Blank & Co. announced it is introducing the AB HybridCard into its GreenLine suite of environmentally friendly products. An industry first, the AB HybridCard is part recycled and part virgin PVC. The .03" thick material is comprised of a recycled plastic core sandwiched between two layers of traditional bright white PVC resulting in a 50 percent recycled plastic and 50 percent traditional PVC product. The outer layers of traditional PVC provide an excellent printing surface while the recycled core provides all the environmental benefits associated with recycled material including helping to reduce energy consumption and reducing the amount of PVC entering landfills.
The AB HybridCard also contains post-consumer material in addition to the pre-consumer content coming from Arthur Blank’s program for reutilization of factory scrap. The addition of post-consumer content into the product is a step forward in providing additional demand for the material and helps to further develop the PVC recycling loop.
Jake Jacobs, senior vice president of sales and business development said, “The AB HybridCard provides environmentally conscious customers with the best of both worlds–the environmental benefits of a recycled product coupled with the premium print performance you would get from printing on virgin PVC.” Arthur Blank’s introduction of the AB HybridCard is the latest addition to Arthur Blank’s GreenLine suite of environmentally friendly stock choices that also include the CornCard USA, AB RecycledCard and the AB BiodegradableCard.
