Golfers who have played courses in the South know that alligators can make their way onto the course from time to time, but we haven't seen that while watching The Masters Tournament. However, this year fans at Augusta National can remember their trip to the Masters by purchasing alligator skin coasters, as well as a few other new promotional items.
The Augusta Chronicle reported that the new alligator skin coasters, embroidered with the tournament's logo, have been popular with fans. The golf shop at Augusta National has also started selling commemorative tumblers featuring tournament badges from the 1970s, which have given many longtime golf fans a feeling of nostalgia.
In addition to the usual golf items such as balls, shirts and hats, the shop sells other items such as onesies and children's clothing.
One lucky person will get to bring home the legendary green jacket from Augusta, but they will have to work a little harder to get that than the alligator coasters.
