The collegiate-licensed apparel market generates around $4.6 billion each year and the number is rising. Collegiate Licensing Company has signed deals with Dockers, Carhartt and G-III Starter in an effort to expand collegiate-licensed apparel in 2014. All three apparel suppliers are starting with a small number of schools, with plans to expand in the coming months and years. Offering collegiate-licensed apparel helps these established brands target a younger demographic, which is especially helpful as all three brands introduce new fall and 2014 lines.
