Clothing companies and department store chains have seen their fair share of struggles recently, but there's a bright spot in declining sales for a chunk of these businesses: activewear.
Over the past several years, clothing retailers have experienced robust growth in this genre of apparel. People are no longer just donning workout wear for a sweaty session at the gym, but for everyday activities, too. "Athleisure" clothing is on the rise—and companies are adapting to meet this consumer demand.
Last week, Dodgeville, Wisconsin-based Lands' End Inc. was the latest to ramp up its efforts to capitalize on this fashion trend with the launch of its newest activewear line called Lands' End Sport.
