You may have heard a bit of buzz about a transition on the horizon for some of our BIC-branded products. If you’re wondering what it all means, we’re here to tell you how we’re keepin’ the BIC brand in Koozie Group!
We’ve been in the promotional products business for a long time with a strong reputation for supplying well-known brands such as BIC. As a stand-alone organization, Koozie Group now has a partnership with the BIC brand, similar to our partnerships with retail brands like Tervis and Titleist.
In January 2022, you will see changes to some of our BIC-branded writing instruments, as well as our Sticky Note products, mouse pads and magnets. But don’t worry, it’s nothing major! We’re just swapping one logo for another. Everything else will remain the same. Really—that’s it! There are absolutely no changes to the quality of the materials, processes or imprints that we use to create these promotional favorites. Additionally, they will keep their current item names and item numbers. And for 35 of our bestselling BIC-branded writing instruments? There are no changes whatsoever.
In a nutshell, Koozie Group will:
- Remain the exclusive promotional products supplier of the BIC brand in the U.S. and Canada.
- Expand our Souvenir and Good Value lines.
- Introduce the Classic Collection

Exclusive Promo Products Supplier of the BIC Brand in the U.S. and Canada
When we say we’re keepin’ the BIC brand in Koozie Group, we mean it! We will continue to be the exclusive promotional products supplier of 35 BIC writing instruments in the United States and Canada. Best sellers, such as the Clic Stic family and Round Stic family, aren’t going anywhere! We will also continue to offer the PrevaGuard versions of these styles, which contain an EPA-approved antimicrobial agent that protects the pen itself by suppressing the growth of bacteria, algae, fungus and mildew.
Nothing is changing at all for these longtime favorites. We will continue to manufacture these iconic BIC writing instruments in our Clearwater, Florida, facility. We will continue to use the same high-quality materials you’ve come to expect. We will continue to imprint these industry leaders using the same processes we have used for years. Expanding the Souvenir Line
Originally launched under the BIC brand, we have a group of writing instruments that we developed specifically for the promotional products industry. Come January 1, we will be transitioning these 20 styles to our proprietary Souvenir brand. The Souvenir name has been around since 1908, and we relaunched the brand in 2019. It is known for telling modern stories with a fresh and imaginative twist, and these writing instruments are the perfect fit for this family.
The only thing changing on these 20 items is the branding. Everything else about them—the high-quality materials, features and imprint methods—stays the same. Get ready to embrace these 20 products:

Additionally, our Sticky Note adhesive notepads will become part of our Souvenir line of stationery items. Our engineers have been working hard to make these functional bestsellers even better, and our print experts in Sleepy Eye, Minn., will continue to manufacture them.
The extra good news? Souvenir Sticky Notes will be Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified products. FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social, and economic benefits. This change aligns with Koozie Group’s social impact and sustainability vision, called Keep It. Give It. Producing Souvenir Sticky Notes from FSC-certified paper is just one of many initiatives we’re taking to lessen our environmental impact.
Expanding the Good Value Line
Speaking of building on an already respected brand, we’ll be moving our BIC-branded magnets and mouse pads to our popular and affordable Good Value line. And just like their Sticky Note counterparts, they will still be produced domestically using proven processes. The only change to the end product will be the branding—everything else from the product number to the product name to the materials and imprint method will remain the same.
Introducing the Classic Collection
Finally, four tried-and-true writing instrument families will be transitioning to the Classic Collection. The gurus at our Clearwater facility will continue to assemble the Classic Collection with the exact same high-quality components, features, and designs that you know and love. Because these writing instruments were designed specifically for the promo market, they will no longer carry BIC branding. However, they are keeping their names and product numbers.
