The Vernon Company supported employees' fundraising efforts pledging a $7,500 match towards the campaign.
"Each year, our employees look forward to our annual United Way campaign," said Andrea Smith, Vernon Company's employee campaign coordinator and board past-president for United Way of Jasper County. "We like to challenge ourselves with new activities that get people engaged while also educating them about the important work of United Way in our community."
"Our surprise success this year was a fun raffle drawing for some pretty great prizes, including tickets to the play Wicked and football tickets for both the University of Iowa and Iowa State University. It was really fun to see people get into the fundraising activities," she added.
