St. Louis-based TRG Group, a leader in the travel gear industry, along with its parent company, Centric Group and other St. Louis-area companies, helped raise over $1 million through the March of Dimes March for Babies annual fund raisingwalk.
Centric Group, TRG Group's parent company, received first place in the mid-sized company category with more than $50,000 raised and TRG playing a big part in that amount. More than 70 TRG Group employees raised funds for this year’s campaign.
Kevin Brennan, a senior graphic designer in the TRG Group marketing department, won first place in the T-shirt design contest. Kevin’s design won out over 100 entries from the participating St. Louis-area companies.
“Given the state of the economy, St. Louis has responded generously to the needs of moms and babies,” said 2009 March for Babies chair Ron Kruszewski.
“We had a great time the entire month of March with various fundraising events in our office,” said Andrew Spellman, vice president of corporate sales. “From a 'Taste of TRG' luncheon, silent auction and culminating in the walk on Saturday, we are happy to be able to support such a helpful charity like the March of Dimes,” Spellman continued.
