Success in Scottsdale: Promo Marketing's Power Meetings Start Strong in 2014
In their third year, Promo Marketing's Power Meetings continue to receive rave reviews from both suppliers and distributors in attendance. Thirty-nine distributor companies and 45 suppliers attended the latest Power Meeting last month in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Power Meetings offer unique opportunities to top-selling distributors and leading promotional product suppliers by pairing them together for one-on-one, 20-minute meetings in the suppliers' private suites. This three-day event can include up to 45 prescheduled meetings where discussions of specific ideas and projects are aimed to build business. In Scottsdale, attendees were treated between meetings to breakfast and lunch at the Marriott Patio and private dinners at EVO and Old Town Tortilla Factory.
"In just three years, Power Meetings have become the industry's most popular, must-attend exclusive events," said Nichole Stella, Promo Marketing's group president. "The quality of attendees and locations can't be matched at any trade show. Each Power Meeting is better than the last and I can't wait for our next one in Miami."
According to attendee surveys, 97.2 percent said they had formed new business relationships, while 100 percent wanted to attend another Power Meeting.
"It was the best three days of my 23-plus years in the industry," William Brasmar, owner of KPA Promotions Inc., said. "[I] learned more and [it] got me motivated about the industry again. It was a great opportunity to form relationships with suppliers."
"This is so much better than a trade show," added Darin Leslie, senior account manager at LSC Promotional Marketing. "The personal interaction with top suppliers is perfect for building relationships. [There was] first-class accommodations, and great wining and dining."
Suppliers also were enthusiastic about the outcome of the Scottsdale meeting.
"The Promo Marketing team has done a phenomenal job of bringing together powerhouses from both sides of the fence in order to cultivate strategic partnerships," Britney Covarrubias, strategic account manager at Gold Bond Inc., said. The next Promo Marketing Power Meeting is scheduled for Miami from May 12 to 15. Supplier spaces are completely full and there are only two spaces left for qualified distributors. More upcoming Power Meetings will be held in Newport Beach, Calif. from Sept. 7 to 10 and Charlotte, N.C. from Oct. 6 to 9.
