Shelley Bednarski Elected PPAF President
Effective Jan. 1, 2016, Shelley Bednarski, Southeast region manager for Chocolate Inn/Taylor & Grant, Freeport, N.Y., and Chicago-based A La Carte, will take on the elected role of president of Promotional Products Association of Florida (PPAF).
PPAF was founded in 1972 and governed by an 11-member, volunteer board of directors. Nearly 500 distributors, suppliers, supplier representatives and marketing member firms currently support the association, which is one of the fastest-growing regional associations in the industry.
Bednarski was elected director-at-large in 2013 and has been on the executive board as treasurer for two years.
“PPAF offers a friendly environment where distributors, suppliers and service providers can get to know each other and build those important business relationships," Bednarski said. "Tom Brokaw once said, 'It's easy to make a buck. It's a lot tougher to make a difference.' Volunteering gives us each that opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than ourselves. Being elected PPAF president, I get the distinct honor of working with the most dedicated individuals in our industry—those that put their time and expertise to work for the betterment of their industry peers, and [are] asking nothing in return. I am grateful to Chocolate Inn/Taylor & Grant for their continued support and encouragement."
