Selco Offers Special Pair Pricing
Selco, a promotional products industry supplier in timepieces since 1935, announced beginning February 2009, Selco will introduce a new pricing model for matching men’s and ladies' Selco Geneve watches called Pair Pricing.
According to the company, Pair Pricing is the industry's first watch pricing structure that prices men’s and ladies' imprint dies together, offers next column pricing and minimizes less-than-minimum charges.
The company believes the new program will eliminate the problem of multiple die charges.
Mark Abels, president of Selco, is proud of the work done by all production employees that made this new pricing structure possible. “We wanted to be very responsive to the needs of our distributors while finding a cost-effective and time-saving solution at the same time,” said Abels. “Everyone at Selco felt there were better ways to accomplish that goal. Our production team worked together and came up with a great system that will help make it easier for distributors.”
Tim Allen, production manager for Selco, added, “Selco has worked to build systems that eliminate the cost of making men’s and ladies dies separately. When sizing art for the men’s watches, the ladies companion art is automatically sized for that watch.” Allen continued, “We now use one set of die material for both dies, saving about 30 percent of the material and eliminating the time to burn the second die since both pieces of art goes on the same die.”
