R.S. Owens & Co. Wins Best Supplier Retail Catalog at 2010 ARA Show
"Our catalog has changed quite a bit over the last several years, and we put a lot of thought into our latest release," said Larry Maloney, vice president of marketing for R.S. Owens & Co. "We conducted some dealer focus groups in our factory, asking them what we can do differently to make our catalog more effective and successful for them. The most important change we implemented was to price all of our products blank instead of pricing some with running charges and others blank,” continued Maloney. “This makes our catalog pricing more consistent and offers our dealers more control over their own pricing by enabling them to set their own imprinting charges, packaging and other added value services. We minimized the use of our name to allow retailers to use the catalog as their own, and think that these changes made a big difference in how our customers viewed our catalog,” concluded Maloney.
