Be knowledgeable about the products you sell. Don’t be afraid to use a new line of pens, but really get familiar with a few lines that have high-quality products. A knowledgeable distributor confident in his or her products will create confidence in the client. You should be able to explain to your client the difference between a clicker pen and a twist pen, as well as the difference in ink and tip quality. Have a selection of pens on hand ranging from lower quality to higher quality. Let your customer see and feel the difference, and the pens will sell themselves.
