It's an all-too-familiar situation. I'm sitting at my desk, on the train, or in line at the grocery store, and a passing stranger casually asks, "Excuse me, what time is it?" I smile, mildly curious about the time myself, and proceed to consult my ... cell phone.
It seems that throughout recent years, cell phones have begun to replace watches as the primary source of time-telling. With the ubiquity of modern technology, I've noticed that people are more likely to be constantly checking a cell phone than sporting a wristwatch.
