Prime Line, Bridgeport, Conn., is celebrating the 40th anniversary of the invention of the Rubik's Cube by waiving set-up charges on domestic Rubik's orders for the month of April.
Invented by Erno Rubik in 1974, the Rubik's Cube was introduced to the American toy market in 1980, the same year Prime Line was founded. To date, it has sold more than 350 million units worldwide, making it one of the best selling puzzle-games in history. Prime Line is the exclusive supplier of Rubik's to the promotional products industry.
"Rubik's is a cultural icon, and this is one of the reasons why it is so popular with end-buyers," said Jeff Lederer, president of Prime Line. "With up to six panels for messaging, the cube is a great vehicle for storytelling, whether it's a merger, a new product launch or a TV series."
For the month of April, Prime Line will waive one-color, one-position set-up charges on orders of stock Rubik's items. To take advantage of this offer, distributors must list the promo code RUBIK0414 on their purchase orders.
