MediaTree Issues 100,000 Tree Challenge
Parsippany, New Jersey-based MediaTree announced just in time to celebrate National Arbor Day, the company will plant one tree for every 10 Seed-the-Future Tree Cards ordered through the end of 2009. In addition, the company challenged the promotional product industry to help plant 100,000 trees by 2010.
“Seed-the-Future branded Tree Cards have attracted a great deal of attention since their initial launch and we are excited that MediaTree has been able to help stem global climate change,” stated MediaTree’s director of marketing, Michael Joliat. “By issuing our 100,000 Tree Challenge, we hope that distributors and end-users alike will take action to promote a greener Earth, enabling MediaTree to fulfill more than one million Seed-The-Future Tree Cards,” Joliat continued.
When MediaTree completes its fulfillment goal of one million cards, the company will have donated 100,000 trees on behalf of the promotional products industry. These trees will remove more than 357,000 tons of carbon dioxide from the environment; enough to offset the carbon dioxide produced by more than 27,000 cars.
MediaTree’s president Rob Watson stated MediaTree has a strong commitment to green initiatives. Said Watson, “With the industry’s support, we can improve the world around us by planting trees to revitalize our natural forests. Together we can make a difference.”
