Lands' End indicated the products in question were tested and passed the required testing by a third-party laboratory accredited by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).
"As a company of parents and families, we are taking this issue very seriously," Kelly Ritchie, senior vice president of employee and customer services for Lands' End, said in a letter to customers. "While there have been no reported injuries, we are working closely with our vendor to better understand how this happened notwithstanding passing test results by a CPSC-accredited third-party lab, and how we will prevent it from happening in the future.
