In hopes of easing financial strains, in 2009 Gold Bond Inc. offered many distributors end quantity pricing for first column minimums. When distributors were called upon to ask if that move were truly beneficial, Gold Bond Inc. was surprised with the response.
Chase Thompson, vice president of sales for Gold Bond Inc., commented, “Although people were thankful to receive the price break, it quickly became apparent that price is not always the dominant factor our distributors consider when placing an order. Just as important are inventory levels, product quality and ease of doing business for them.”
This feedback prompted an internal shift, which the company feels has helped it to better understand its distributors and their needs. In response to the feedback, Gold Bond Inc. created the new Elite Rewards Program.
Thompson continued, “We really went back to the drawing board for this program and feel we’ve crafted a plan that thanks our most loyal customers for their continued partnership with Gold Bond.”
The Elite Rewards Program is available to distributors who reach three sales levels: a Three Star Level ($10,000 item sales), a Four Star Level ($20,000 items sales), and a Five Star Level ($50,000 items sales). Additional benefits are awarded at each tier in the program. Rewards include discounted pricing, free paper proofs, discounts up to 60 percent off of EQP for self promotions, free spec samples and free custom fliers. While the Elite Rewards Program status is based on previous annual sales volumes, distributors are automatically upgraded to higher levels as they reach new sales plateaus.
Said Thompson, “We continue to be thankful for our wonderful, loyal customers, and we strive to make sure we express that appreciation to them. We hope that this program is a good start in giving back what has been given to us throughout the years.”
