Former Staples Executive Joins VistaPrint as Chief Marketing Officer for North American Business Unit
VistaPrint, Lexington, Mass., announced that Don LeBlanc will assume the role of chief marketing officer for VistaPrint's North American business unit. LeBlanc assumes the role vacated by Trynka Shineman, who was promoted to the position of president of VistaPrint's North American business unit earlier this year.
"Over the past decade, VistaPrint has helped millions of micro businesses by enabling them to market their businesses in an affordable, professional way," said Shineman. "We have acquired customers in this space at a rapid pace, while generating greater than 60 percent of our revenues from repeat customers. As we look to expand and enhance our value proposition, get closer to our customers and continue to expand market share, leaders like Don will be paramount to our success. His experience in the small business space as well as retail and consumer marketing make him an ideal choice to lead our North American marketing group."
LeBlanc joins VistaPrint from Staples Inc., where he spent the past 10 years in various strategy and marketing executive roles. In that time, LeBlanc worked with both the U.S. retail and delivery business units, helping to drive growth and launch new initiatives. In his most recent role as senior vice president, retail marketing, he had overall responsibility for national broadcast campaigns, print marketing, rewards programs and numerous digital marketing platforms. Prior to Staples, he spent time at edu.com, Monitor Company and Accenture.
"VistaPrint has a winning business model and a tremendous opportunity to grow in both the small business and consumer markets by giving its customers an opportunity to continue to express themselves in a variety of ways," said LeBlanc. "The existing marketing teams are incredibly talented, understand the business and are passionate about taking the company to the next level. That helps make the company's long-term prospects very attractive and despite sustained success, I believe we've just scratched the surface. VistaPrint has an opportunity to build a compelling and enduring brand, one that small businesses trust to provide tremendous value as a marketing partner."
