"First and foremost, they have not worn polos for 15 years," said the fire department's Lt. Larry Gray, according to AOL. "We do not have any documentation that there was an order approved for them to wear polos."
While in previous years the firefighters wore commemorative T-shirts, this year, the firefighters wanted to wear commemorative polo shirts. However, Lt. Gray said the request was denied because the polo shirts do not fit the rules governing fire uniforms.
