BIC Graphic was pleased to host John Kline, Congressman for Minnesota’s 2nd District, at their Red Wing, Minn. site on Aug. 7, 2014. The Congressman was joined by two of his staffers, Brooke Dorobials, district director and Troy Young, communications director; as well as two UMAPP (Upper Midwest Association of Promotional Professionals) board members, Carter Sharp of Bertelson One Source, and Dave Malek of Edward’s Garment. Tim Dunford, site manager, and Bill Benolken, account manager and UMAPP government relations chair, hosted an in-depth tour of the facility and an overview of the promotional products industry.
During the visit, the group discussed the importance of promotional products as a viable advertising medium for businesses of any size, but especially for small business. They also discussed the fact that the promotional products industry is primarily made up of small businesses, and Congressman Kline underscored the importance of revising the tax code to help facilitate the growth of this business segment in particular.
BIC Graphic would like to thank the Congressman and his staff for taking the time to visit and learn more about the business and the industry as a whole.
