9-11 Tenth Anniversary Project Website Set Up
The 9-11 Tenth Anniversary Project has launched a donation-based website to raise awareness and funds for the first responders and victims lost on September 11, 2001. The website is available at www.911tenth.com.
The site features areas where visitors can share, reflect and discuss, as well as related links and a tribute store to benefit the 9-11 Patch Project founded by a firefighter to benefit The FDNY Uniformed Officers Association, The Terry Farrell Firefighters Fund and the FeelGood Foundation. The goal is to raise $911,911 for the three foundations.
"Since many promotional companies look to tie in events with their corporate accounts, we feel that our 9-11 Tenth Anniversary patch project is a key way to not only keep the victims and families in their minds, but we are donating to the three foundations," said Rich Soergel, president of Pacific Sportswear & Emblem Co. and founder of the 9-11 Tenth Anniversary Project. "We have made the 9-11 patches since 2002 and many know and use us to create event, reunion and memorial patches tied into 9-11 and other events."
"I know that many corporations will be tying into or honoring the tenth anniversary of 9-11 and our program gives the promotional industry a 'go to' company that has been helping and working with foundations affiliated with the 9-11 events," Soergel added.
