Los Angeles, CA– Strangulation hazards prompted the recall of about 18,000 children’s hooded sweatshirts and jackets by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and Mejoong Corp., dba Hot Kids. The CPSC announced the recall on January 11, 2011.
The recall was initiated after discovering that the drawstring through the hood of the sweatshirts could pose a strangulation or entrapment hazard to children.
