Manufacturing held firm in Red Wing in 2010. Companies, including larger employers Red Wing Shoe Co. and Norwood & BIC Graphic North America, added jobs at their local facilities.

RED WING — Within the span of about a year, Red Wing has become a hub of activity for Norwood BIC Graphic North America, a branch of an international company that supplies promotional products across the globe.

Clearwater, Florida-based BIC Graphic North America is extending its customer service hours to 24 hours a day for all weekdays to provide better, more convenient access to live customer service representatives. The extended hours will be effective January 1, 2011.

Clearwater, Florida-based Norwood & BIC Graphic North America announced today a plan for the consolidation of their Janesville, WI operation (Jaffa branded products) into the Red Wing, Minn. facility.

Quenten Wentworth, vice president and general manager for Norwood & BIC Graphic North America, commented further on the news of the relocation of its Wisconsin production facility.

Starting in 2011, Clearwater, Florida-based BIC Graphic North America will be celebrating the 30th anniversary of the introduction of the BIC Round Stic with a year-long calendar of promotions and events surrounding the iconic pen.

BIC APP’s ongoing commitment to sustainable manufacturing was further demonstrated on November 3, 2010 when Clearwater, Florida-based Norwood & BIC Graphic facilities in Tampa celebrated the companies' own Green Day.

Clearwater, Florida-based Norwood Promotional Products announced it will offer multiple F.O.B. points on the following product categories in 2011: bags, meeting, outdoor, drinkware and housewares.

As of September 27, 2010, Norwood Promotional Products' credit department has been operating out of the Clearwater, Fla. headquarters. The team has been preparing for this move for several weeks in order to make the transition as smooth as possible for our customers.
