Retailers selling brands like Asics, Adidas and Nike will be hit with a $1,500 fee and must provide copies of manufacturer invoices as proof that the goods are authentic. Toy sellers reselling Pokemon, Hasbro and Lego toys will have to pay a $1,000 fee.
Naturally, some merchants are upset about Amazon's new policy. They believe this indicates that Amazon is moving toward an authorized sellers only format, which means resellers will have to take their business elsewhere. According to a survey from WebRetailer and Feedvisor, 61 percent of Amazon sellers fear being banned.
