When I talk with people about their goals I frequently hear them use the word “if.”
“If I can grow my sales to $X.”
“If I get healthy.”
“If I get that new customer.”
If.
“If” sows seeds of doubt.
“If” is a word that people need to lose and replace it with “when.”
“When I grow my sales to $X.”
“When I get healthy.”
“When I get that new customer.”
When.
“When” creates confidence and excitement.
Words are powerful. Just changing “if” to “when” can change your attitude from one of doubt to one of confidence and excitement.
