Fall Fashion Weeks in NYC and London

It's time for another fashion show roundup. This time we look at the fall fashion weeks in NYC and London (last week and this week, respectively). Overall trends include horizontal and vertical stripes, as well as adding texture to garments like fringe, raised patterns and fur.

Stripes, Texture, Psychedelic
Alice + Olivia is one of my favorite brands, because their clothing is always feminine with a dramatic flair. Stripes were definitely a big influence on this line, from mixing horizontal with vertical on a head-to-toe look, to adding drama to a fitted cocktail dress with one bold stripe. Texture was another important element, with pants, dresses, coats and even shoes that feature raised patterns, fur and chunky glitter. The third trend was psychedelic patterns that seemed to come alive as you looked at them. Alice + Olivia paired them with basics to let the patterns stand out.
