Charles River Apparel started off National Volunteer Week with a clothes drive, collecting hundreds of garments to benefit two local charities, Cradles to Crayons and Circle of Hope. Employees were given the opportunity to volunteer on company time at Cradles to Crayons, a non-profit organization that provides clothing and other essential items to children living in homeless or low-income situations. Employees sorted hundreds of pieces of children's apparel, creating sets of clothing that will be given directly to infants and children. Charles River Apparel had over 50 percent employee participation in the company-sponsored event.
